Businesses, not for profits and clubs
If you’re part of a business, organisation, not for profit or club, get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org with our Commercial Waste Minimisation Officer to see how we can help you reduce waste. Organisations wanting to achieve continual waste reduction improvements over a number of years can apply to be part of our free Resource Wise Business Programme, with learning and networking events.
Schools, early childhood centres and tertiary education providers
Get in touch with our Zero Waste Educator at email@example.com to find out about on-site support and classroom sessions on waste reduction.
Tours and workshops
Any group of 10 or more can organise a free tour of the Material Recovery Facility and The Junction, New Plymouth’s Zero Waste Hub, by booking with Sustainable Taranaki. Sustainable Taranaki also run regular hands-on waste reduction workshops.
Running an event? Email firstname.lastname@example.org to complete an Event Waste Minimisation and Management Plan funding application explaining how you plan to effectively reduce waste at your event. If the plan is followed, we may fund the collection costs for recyclables and compostable waste you divert from landfill at your event. NPDC also has a set of bin lids, wraps and flags for your bin stations to support your waste minimisation plan.
Have an idea for a tangible project that can help reduce waste in our district? Apply for our twice-yearly Waste Levy Fund. Find more information on the criteria, application process and upcoming funding round dates on our Waste Levy Fund page.
