Solid Waste Management and Minimisation Bylaw

We are consulting on the proposed Solid Waste Management and Minimisation Bylaw. This Bylaw supports and regulates kerbside collection service improvements from 30 September, as well as other changes to help achieve our Zero Waste vision. These include:

  • Better addressing of littering in the bylaw.
  • Minimising waste at events and construction sites.
  • Enabling neighbours in multi-unit residences to work together to reduce the number of bins on the streets.
  • Reflecting the closure of Colson Road Landfill.
