Executive Leadership Team
The Executive Leadership Team (ELT) comprises the Chief Executive and six senior managers who collectively oversee all the activities that make up NPDC’s operations.
Position: Chief Executive
Craig is the sole employee of the elected Council and is responsible for the overall leadership of the NPDC organisation and the delivery of all its functions across the district. Craig employs all NPDC staff who, together with our contractors, deliver the myriad of activities, services and facilities available to residents and visitors. Craig is the chief advisor to the elected members and is responsible for ensuring their decisions are implemented.
Position: Chief Operating Officer
Kelvin leads our District Services group, which delivers infrastructure services (transport, water, wastewater, stormwater, parks and open spaces, waste management) regulatory services (building control, land use planning, animal control, customer services, compliance), and recreational and cultural services (Govett-Brewster Art Gallery/Len Lye Centre, Puke Ariki, events and venues). He also oversees our emergency management function and our City Partners programme.
Position: External Relations Manager
Jacqueline leads the team that provides our marketing, promotion and design services and is responsible for our internal and external communication. She is the key contact for all media relationships and oversees much of the consultation with the public.
Position: Chief Financial Officer
Joy is responsible for leading our financial services team, the in-house legal team, the property team as well as the procurement and risk management functions. She also has oversight of NPDC’s council-controlled organisations and the Perpetual Investment Fund.
Position: Chief Information Officer
Steve oversees the technologies (digital and information systems) that underpin all NPDC operations and is responsible for ensuring these are up to date and fit for purpose. His responsibilities include our information management (records and archives) as well as business transformation.
Position: Group Manager People and Capability
Mary leads our human resources and health and safety teams. She’s responsible for organisational development and works closely with the Chief Executive on organisational culture. Mary makes sure that we have the right people staffing our services and facilities and that we stay on top of the skills and expertise that we need.
Position: Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive
Linley provides a range of support services to the Chief Executive, the office of the Chief Executive and the ELT. She also provides backup to the Executive Assistant to the Mayor.
