This guide and map shows mobility permit car parks, accessible walkways, toilets (single and unisex) and other accessible facilities including entertainment, accommodation and recreational facilities, public buildings, health centres, hospitals, post boxes, ATM, information centres and shopping centres.

The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) develops protocols, guidelines and standards that ensure long-term growth and access to the web for all members of society.  The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) ensure web content is accessible to people with disabilities. Websites are tested against criteria set at three levels - A, AA, and AAA.

"This is an excellent website from the perspective of members of the RNZFB. We found it easy to navigate, and easy to find what we were looking for. We felt this was one of the best sites we have so far come across in the local Government sector. We want to congratulate New Plymouth District Council for the effort and thought which has gone into the development of this website."
K Prince, Adaptive Technology Services Manager, Royal New Zealand Foundation of the Blind (RNZFB).
