WOMAD

WOMAD ENTERTAINERS LEAD THE KIDS PARADE

WOMAD 2007 Kids Parade.

WOMAD: World of Music, Arts and Dance

From 13-15 March 2009 WOMAD will turn the stunning Brooklands Park and the TSB Bowl of Brooklands in New Plymouth into a cultural melting pot of rhythms, sights and sounds.

And it’s not just the music that entices WOMAD-goers. Captivating workshops for adults and children will allow people to explore the diverse mix of artist performances, and a stroll through the Global Village will offer fantastic fare and great shopping.

The Global Food Village will once again serve up tempting tastes from other lands and the WOMAD bars will quench your thirst on a sunny day! Kids can spend hours in the Kidzone engrossed in activities for lively young minds and a selection of films based around global music will be screened under the stars.

There’s also camping and marae-style accommodation to ensure total festival immersion. Most of all people can relax, unwind and soak up the family-friendly vibe that is unique to WOMAD.

Visit the WOMAD website for news and updates.
