New Zealand National Stamp Exhibition

The National Stamp Exhibition is the premier stamp collecting event for New Zealand, where stamp collectors can display their stamp collections to the public.

Stamp collectors from throughout New Zealand and Australia select the very best of their stamp collections and enter them into various classes of competition. These collections are mounted into display frames and judged and critiqued by qualified national and international judges.

Hosted by the Taranaki Philatelic Society Incorporated, TARAPEX (Taranaki Philatelic Exhibition) 2008 is incorporating the fourth Australasian Stamp Challenge.

This is a team competition between the exhibitors of each of the five Australian states and the North and South islands of New Zealand. The challenge is usually held every two years and this will be the first time it has been held in New Zealand. The North Island is the current holder of the trophy so expect to see the top Australian stamp exhibits competing to take the trophy back to Australia.
