Gabriel Kuri and Thanks In Advance

The Govett-Brewster Art Gallery presents its 2006 International Artist in Residence Gabriel Kuri in his first New Zealand Exhibition, and thanks in advance.

Mexican-born, Belgium-based Kuri will present new works developed during his residency in his first exhibition in New Zealand, and thanks in advance.

Kuri's works displace personal observations of everyday life into the terrain of formal aesthetics. This exhibition features a series of sculptures made from found common objects such as rocks, till receipts, children’s toys and painted glass.
