Set up

The roof trusses can support lighting truss and PA equipment. Loads can be hung from the top and bottom of the truss, depending on weight loads. All loads must be vertical with 8.85m between truss centres.

Actual capacity of the truss varies across its length. Intended loads must be checked by stadium staff and, if required, an engineer.

There are clear sections of roof above each truss that let in daylight – these can be blacked out.

History

The TSB Stadium opened on 4 November 1992 as a multi-purpose community indoor venue, owned by us but operated by the TSB Stadium Trust Board. The local community raised money for the construction of the stadium through a 'Pool and Stadium Fund'. In total, $1.9 million was raised.

In 2004 we took over operational management of the TSB Stadium in line with other New Plymouth venues.
