District Swimming Pools

ENJOYING SUMMER AT THE OKATO POOL

New Plymouth District has four seasonal pools that open for the summer.

 

Inglewood, Okato and Waitara Pools

Waitara and Inglewood pools are open over summer from Labour Day until late March. Okato pool opens from late November, weather permitting. They are all closed on Christmas Day.

Opening hours
Monday to Friday: Lane swimming 6am-9am, schools 10am-noon and 1pm-3pm. Public swimming noon-1pm and 3.15pm-6pm (7pm Okato pool).

Weekends and public holidays: 12.30pm-6.00pm.

Fees
Adults $2.30.
Children $1.30.
Adult with child under 8 years $1.30.
Spectators $1.00.
Concession cards (11 entries): Adults $22.00, children $12.00.

Fitzroy Pool

This shallow pool is designed for small children. This pool opens from late November, weather permitting, until the end of February. Closed Christmas Day.

Open daily from 10am-7pm.

Entry to this pool is free.

Note: Children under eight years of age must be actively supervised by a responsible person 16 years old or over at all New Plymouth District pools.
