Positive Ageing Strategy Consultation

We have developed a Positive Ageing Strategy which allows us to explore ways to ensure the qualities and attributes of our ageing population are effectively utilised.

Significant Natural Areas Review

We are undertaking a review of Significant Natural Areas (SNAs) currently identified in the District Plan, and are now consulting with landowners about potential changes to the spatial extent/boundaries of SNA.

Land Supply Review

We are conducting a two-year review on the supply of land for residential purposes throughout the district and industrial land in New Plymouth and Bell Block.
Status: Consultation has closed and stages 1 and 2 are complete. Stage 3 (District Plan change process) started in April 2008.

Camping Ground Review

A review was initiated in 2006 including a user survey (Stage 3). Council officers are due to report back to the Council mid-2010 on outcomes from Stage 4.
