Opunake-NP Bus Service

THE SOUTHLINK BUS

A weekly bus service runs between Opunake and New Plymouth every Friday.

Operated by Pickering Motors, the Friday service has a number of timetabled stops, or passengers can simply signal the bus to stop if they are on the route.

The service connects at Opunake with another South Link service from and to Manaia and Hawera.

9.15am Departs Opunake (Taranaki Farmers)
9.30am Departs Rahotu (Plunket Rooms)
9.40am Departs Pungarehu (opposite the Town Hall)
9.50am Departs Okato (opposite the Old Fire Station)
10.00am Depart Oakura (Messenger Terrace)
10.15am Arrives New Plymouth (Ariki Street Bus Station)

New Plymouth - Opunake

1.30pm Departs New Plymouth (Ariki Street Bus Station)
1.45pm Departs Oakura (Messenger Terrace)
1.55pm Departs Okato (Old Fire Station)
2.05pm Departs Pungarehu (Town Hall)
2.15pm Departs Rahotu (Four Square)
2.30pm Arrives Opunake (Taranaki Farmers)

$6 Opunake - New Plymouth (one way)
$5 Rahotu - New Plymouth (one way)
$5 Pungarehu - New Plymouth (one way)
$4 Okato - New Plymouth (one way)
$3 Oakura - New Plymouth (one way)

Super Gold Card holders travel for free.

A $1 discount is available for school-aged children. Under-5s are free when accompanied by a fare-paying adult.

Bookings are preferred but the bus can be hailed from anywhere on the route.
