Lake Mangamahoe Mountain Bike Trail Map

Mountain biking tracks

Mountain biking. Photo: Nathaniel Benefield. There’s no end to the excursions and adventures to be had when heading off-road:

  • Lake Mangamahoe.
  • Barretts Domain.
  • Te Henui track.
  • Huatoki Domain (partial).

Note: The mid section of the Lake Mangamahoe Forest is being logged from Monday 8 June. A number of new trails have been developed in the southern end of the forest for riders until the trail network can be reinstated in the logged area.

Check out this map of the new or redeveloped trails. Information on dig days to establish the new trails in the middle part of the forest will be posted on New Plymouth Mountainbikers site  www.taranakimtb.blogspot.com/ and in the Quick Release newsletter that's sent out to club members.

Easy rides

The Coastal Walkway is traffic free, making it perfect for families and those
new to cycling.
