Choir

Aims: To provide entertainment for rest home and retirement village residents and at the same time sing for our own enjoyment and sense of achievement.

 

City of New Plymouth Caledonian Pipe Band

Aims: To foster and strengthen the Scottish culture in the New Plymouth district to the benifit of all members of our district.

 

Country and Variety Music

Aims: To create awareness of what is musically available for the enjoyment and/or participation of all members of our community. Entertaining young and old.

 

Country Music Hall of Fame

Aims: To attract tourists, outside club visitors and bus tours to the hall and to the club. Showcase with lunch and club concerts.

 

Harmony Chorus, Taranaki

Aims: To promote womens a cappella four part harmony singing, through performance, education, friendship and fun.

 

Male Choir Taranaki

Aims: To foster and improve the male choir art form in Taranaki.

 

Merrilands Country Music Club

Aims: Providing entertaining country music to all age groups and genders. Assist members to improve skills in all presentations in country music competitions.

 

Music Education NZ Aotearoa (MENZA)

Aims: To provide workshops, seminars, information and assistance to anyone working to promote music education, at any level.

 

New Plymouth Brass

Aims: Brass band providing musical services for civic and private functions. Also has an active programme of training players of brass instruments (all ages welcome). Senior band practises 7.30pm Monday and Thursday, JAY band practises 4.00pm on Wednesdays during the school year.

 

New Plymouth Classical Guitar Society Inc

Aims: To assist, establish and promote all aspects of the classical guitar via concerts, studies, workshops, festivals, summer school and competitions.

 

New Plymouth Orchestra

Aims: To perform orchestral concerts for New Plymouth.

 

Plymouth Ensemble String Quartet

String quartet, string trio and string duet.

 

Registered Music Teachers, Taranaki Branch

Aims: To provide registered teachers to students in a wide range of instruments and vocal.

 

Rhinestones Country Music Club

Aims: To foster and promote country music at all levels, and to hold functions to further these aims and objects. Club meets at Senior Citizens Hall, Liardet Street New Plymouth 1pm, first and thrid Sunday of each month.

Taranaki Jazz Club

Aims: The promotion and fostering of jazz music. Club meetings are held on the third Sunday of each month at the New Plymouth Club, 55 Gill Street,  from 4pm to 7pm. Meals Available.

 

Traditional Country Music Society

Aims: Fostering country music, traditional style.
We run our traditional Country Music Awards every Easter.
