Baptist Church Complex

Facilities: Rooms of varying sizes. Main auditorium seats 240. Sound system and projector available.

Beach Street Hall

Facilities: Two halls with capacity for 40 to 100 people. Kitchen facilities. Toilet and wheelchair facilities. No crockery or cutlery. Not available for 21st or other parties.

Bell Block Hall exterior. Facilities: Bell Block Hall is one of the largest urban halls in New Plymouth District. It is well equipped with two badminton courts, a basketball hoop, stage, toilets, store, supper room, upstairs viewing gallery and foyer. The changing rooms have showers and the kitchen has an oven and other cooking facilities. Capacity is 500 with tables and seating for 200 people. Gas heating.

Braemar Restaurant and Bar

Brian Bellringer Pavilion

Bellringer Pavilion. Address: Pukekura Park, New Plymouth
Facilities: Seating and tables for 80, full kitchen facilities, changing rooms for two teams plus umpires’ own room. Not suitable for social functions. Often busy over summer with cricket commitments.

Brooklands Church Hall

Facilities: Capacity 100 seated. No smoking, suitable for wheelchairs, stage, kitchen, zip, toilet. No alcohol permitted.

Central School Hall

Facilities: Capacity 275 with seating for 100 on wooden benches. Not suitable for wheelchairs. Kitchen, stage, heating facilities. Venue alarmed. No alcohol.

Chess and Model Engineers Clubrooms

Facilities: Seating for 35, standing room for 60. Zip, sink, fridge,
crockery, tables. Not suitable for wheelchairs.

City West Church Hall

Community House - Citizens Advice Bureau

Facilities: A spacious, bright and comfortable conference room seating 60 theatre style and 30-40 classroom style. Meeting room seats 12. Good kitchen and wheel chair accessible facilities. Whiteboard equipment and data projector available for hire.

Dawson Falls Tourist Lodge

Facilities: Capacity 30. Accommodation, catering, licensed bar all available on-site.

Devon Hotel

Capacity for 400, six meeting rooms, full range of technical, audio and visual support, onsite catering, licensed restaurant and bar, and accommodation on-site.

Facilities: Seats up to 80, excellent kitchen facilities. Suitable for weddings and other functions.

Egmont Village Community Centre

Facilities: Restored heritage building (former schoolmaster’s house). Capacity 60, toilets, kitchen facilities, wood fire, playground.

Facilities: Capacity 120, kitchen facilities, chairs, tables. No smoking permitted.

Ferndale Hall

Ferndale Hall exterior. Facilities: Ferndale Hall is a medium sized hall (capacity 270) with a kitchen, small office, parking area and is next to a playground. Heating (electric) is coin operated. It is on a rear site, adjacent to playing fields.

Fitzroy Community Hall

Exterior of Fitzroy Community Hall. Facilities: The hall can cater for up to 250 people. It has changing facilities and a moveable stage. The hall area is around 387m2 with additional supper/meeting room capacity. Ramp suitable for wheelchairs, accessible toilet, full kitchen facilities plus separate bar.

Fred Tucker Memorial Centre

Fred Tucker Memorial Hall exterior. Facilities: Designed for use by more than one group at a time, the Fred Tucker Centre has a sunroom (85m²), meeting room (73m²), hall with a stage at one end (175m²) and a lounge (55m²) which is attached to the main hall but separated by doors. It has kitchen facilities, tables and chairs, wheelchair facilities, a piano and coin operated heating. Maximum capacity is 185 people in the hall and 50 people in the meeting room.

Govett-Brewster Art Gallery

Facilities: Theatrette, studio, sound system, projection equipment, lighting, wheelchair access.

The Govett-Brewster has a number of unique spaces available for private functions. Groups ranging in size from 10-150 can be accommodated. Gallery staff can work with you to provide a memorable experience for you and your guests.

Grand Central Hotel

Facilities: Main room seats up to 300 theatre style. Conference room one seats 60 theatre style. Conference room two seats 14 boardroom style. Suitable for cocktail parties, dinners, conferences, weddings.

Hempton Hall

Hempton Hall. Facilities: This medium sized war memorial hall (539m²) is located in the Okato Town Centre. The hall has a maximum capacity of 100 and features a dressing room and stage, separate supper room, heating, bar facilities and a kitchen with oven, cups and saucers for over 100. It is used for weddings, cabarets, concerts and aerobics. Plenty of street parking.

Hillsborough Hall

Facilities: Capacity 120. Two zips, stove, cups and saucers, tables, chairs and forms.

Holy Trinity Church Hall

Facilities: Capacity 200, suitable for wheelchairs, kitchen with two zips and sinks, chairs, tables. Committee room capacity 20.

Inglewood High School Hall

Facilities: Capacity 430, kitchen facilities.

Inglewood Old Folks Hall

Facilities: Capacity 130, tables, chairs, cups and saucers, stage, benches. Suitable for wheelchairs.

Inglewood Primary School Hall

Facilities: Kitchen facilities, capacity 350.

Inglewood Town Hall

Inglewood Town Hall. Facilities: Located near the town centre, Inglewood Town Hall has a supper room, stage, main hall and gallery, kitchen (no crockery, but fridge and freezor) and reception area with 20 tables, 200 chairs and a piano. Wheelchair access. Maximum capacity is 300 people.

Kaimata Hall

Facilities: Capacity 400, kitchen facilities. No student parties or after-ball functions permitted.

Kawaroa Park Squash Club

Facilities: Capacity 90 seated, kitchen facilities, on-site caterers if requested. Balcony with beautiful sea views.

Labour Party Rooms

Facilities: Ideal for regular meetings of not for profit groups. Comfortable carpeted venue with padded seating for up to 50 people. Electric heaters. Kitchen with tea making facilities.
Not suitable for party hire. No smoking venue.

Lepperton Hall

Facilities: Capacity 100, bar, supper room, kitchen, 100 chairs, and tables. Wheelchair access.

Little Theatre, New Plymouth

Facilities: Theatre with auditorium seating 100 in rows or 88 with tables. Full lighting and sound set up available. Wheelchair access, toilets and shower, wardrobe, props. Licensed bar with kitchen facilities.

Mangorei Memorial Hall

Facilities: Capacity 140, kitchen facilities, tables and chairs, wheelchair facilities. Separate supper room.

Mangorei School Hall

Facilities: Wheelchair access available. Not suitable for party functions.

Merrilands Domain Hall

Outside of Merrilands Domain Hall. Facilities: Located within Merrilands Domain and next to the New Plymouth Rangers soccer clubrooms, the Merrilands Domain Hall has a main hall, committee room, kitchen facilities (no crockery) and male and female toilets (including an accessible toilet). Maximum capacity is 270 people.

Facilities: Capacity 400, suitable for wheelchairs, no alcohol or smoking, chairs, kitchen and zip, no party functions.

Methodist Centre Hall

Facilities: Capacity 250. Kitchen, tables and chairs. Two smaller rooms for hire seating 40. No alcohol.

Motunui Hall

Facilities: Capacity 220. Seating capacity 120, kitchen facilities, chairs, parking on main road and in school grounds.

Mountain House Motor Lodge

Facilities: Lounge room seating capacity 50, Egmont Room seating capacity 40, Summit Room seating capacity 20, accommodation and restaurant. Suitable for weddings, conferences and other functions. Team building facilities available. Sauna available 7am to late, seven days.

New Plymouth Ranger's Club

Facilities: Comfortable (upstairs) venue with bar, carpeted areas with armchairs, woodburner, lounge suite plus table and chairs seating. Kitchen facilities include a zip, stove, microwaves, warmer cabinets and some crockery. Also has a dance floor with disco lights. Toilet facilities available. Some off street parking.

New Plymouth Spiritualist Church Inc

Facilities: Seats 50. Quiet, carpeted hall for small meetings and groups. Electric organ, heating, off-street parking. Wheelchair ramp and toilet, kitchen facilities (stove, fridge, crockery). All inclusive hireage fees. No alcohol on premises, no smoking in building.

Norfolk Hall

Facilities: Capacity 120 seated, kitchen facilities (no fridge), chairs, and tables.

Oakura Hall

Oakura Hall. Facilities: The hall has a supper room, kitchen, table and chairs, a stage and gas heating. The hall is 505m² and has a maximum capacity of 400 people.

Onuku Taipari Domain Hall

Onuku Taipari Hall. Facilities: The hall has a total area of 313m² and includes a kitchen, separate dining room, toilets (including an accessible toilet), the main hall itself (net area of 162m²) and a storage room. The hall has a capacity of 270 people and has electric heating.

Spotswood College Hall

Facilities: Capacity 450, basic kitchen facilities, wheelchair access. Available for hire.

Facilities: Capacity 100, suitable for wheelchairs.

St Andrews Church Hall

Facilities: Capacity 250, no alcohol or smoking permitted, suitable for wheelchairs, kitchen facilities, chairs.

St Andrews Church Hall Inglewood

Facilities: Capacity 200. Kitchen facilities.

St Chads Church

Facilities: Capacity 150, full kitchen and toilet facilities, gas heated. Also small meeting room available.

St James Church Hall

Facilities: Capacity 200, 30 wooden benches and chairs, no alcohol permitted, suitable for wheelchairs, kitchen with stove and microwave, small meeting room available.

St Mary's Church Hall

Facilities: Hadley Hall. Capacity 285. Kitchen facilities, tables and chairs. Lounge capacity 50. Wheelchair access.

Star Gymnasium

Star Gym exterior. The Star War Memorial Gymnasium (Star Gym) is located on the western side of Yarrow Stadium. The hall can accommodate up to 500 people. It has changing facilities, a kitchen and badminton courts. The area is 970m².

Surf Life Saving Club, East End

Aims: To prevent drowning at East End beach. Venue is also available for hire.
Facilities: Capacity up to 250 informally (inside) plus another 100 on deck. Can seat 150 inside, has paraplegic facilities and plenty of nearby parking.

Waitara War Memorial Hall

Waitara Hall. Facilities: The hall offers a good range of facilities including a full basketball court, stage, well-equipped kitchen, chairs, theatre and coin operated heating. The main hall has a capacity of 500 people and the theatre of 176. The hall is the largest hall in the district and is centrally located with good parking facilities.
