Introducing Kelly 

How long have you been a keeper?

I started at Brooklands Zoo in September 2011 but I have worked in many other areas of animal management.

Why did you become a keeper?

I was born to take care of animals, I could not see myself doing anything else.

What is the best thing about the job?

Loving what you do, it does not even feel like work. And being surrounded by other people who are as crazy about animals as I am. 

What is the worst thing about the job?

Going home at the end of the day and really cold, rainy days.

What animals do you work with at the Zoo?

All the farmyard animals.

What is your favourite animal at the Zoo?

So far, Liquorice the black alpaca.

Why is Brooklands Zoo so special?

Every person that works here is so passionate and the zoo is so well maintained. We all take our jobs very seriously and it reflects in the smiles of our visitors.
