Community Events

Hundreds of people at an event held at Puke Ariki Landing.
 
We aim to encourage participation and a sense of belonging in the community by offering a range of events, activities and programmes that promote community understanding, the celebration of success and cultural diversity. Check the Events Calendar for more events.

The Community Development team is also involved in race relation events, disability awareness and Puanga Te Rangi Hiroa.

 

Citizens Awards

The Citizens' Awards recognise people who have made a significant contribution to the district over many years or through an exceptional action.

 

Leadership Forum

Hear four exciting business leaders with an absolute passion for the voluntary sector share their knowledge and experience with clubs, community groups and voluntary organisations.

 

Trade Graduation Ceremony

A ceremony honouring our trade graduates.
