Coastal Reserves Management Plan

The Coastal Reserves Management Plan outlines the management direction for 50 coastal reserves administered by the council.

 

District Tree Policy

The purpose of this policy is to outline the council mandate regarding the stewardship of its tree resource and to provide consistency in decision making on the management of trees and bush remnants on council-administered.

 

Earthquake Prone Dangerous Insanitary Buildings Policy

This policy addresses the council’s obligations under the Building Act 2004 regarding the safety of building owners, users and the public in and within close proximity to the district’s buildings in the event of an unsafe situation arising or a dangerous event occurring.

 

Gambling Venue Policy

This policy outlines where gambling machines and TAB outlets may be placed, how many more there will be, and what, if any, restrictions will be placed on them.

 

General Policies for Council Administered Reserves 2006

This document consolidates policies that apply to all reserves owned and/or administered by New Plymouth District Council.  It is intended to provide a common understanding between the council and the community of how the reserves in the district will be managed. It aims to help achieve consistency and accountability in decision making while taking into account the public interest.

 

International Relations Policy

This policy outlines the aims and processes for establishing and maintaining international relationships.

 

Marae Grants Policy (2006)

This policy details the procedures for the management and funding of marae grants.

 

Positive Ageing Policy (2004-2008)

This document lists the visions and goals that the council has established to support older people within New Plymouth District.

 

Rates Remission Policy

This policy outlines how the council assists community, sporting and other organisation's with rates remissions.

 

Treasury Management Policy

This policy sets out the council’s objectives, policies, strategies and monitoring procedures to ensure that its responsibilities in terms of the Liability Management Policy and Investment Policy are carried out in accordance with its statutory obligations.
