Resource Consents

Resource consents are approvals to do something that is not automatically permitted in the District Plan. They are granted under the provisions of the District Plan, following processes laid down in the Resource Management Act 1991.

This section contains information about applying for a resource consent and the processes involved in that application. A pre-lodgement meeting is designed to make sure that your resource consent application is complete before you lodge it with us. This helps make the whole consent process run easier and smoother.
