Tongaporutu Transfer Station

Opening hours

Sunday 1pm to 4pm.
Closed all public holidays.
Address: Hutiwai Rd, Tongaporutu.
Note: No EFTPOS facilities available on site.

After hours

A coin operated Jack Trash Bin is located at the southern end of the bridge. This costs $2 per rubbish bag.

Note: Only light vehicles carrying domestic refuse are accepted, i.e. cars, vans, utes and station wagons with or without trailers. Trucks greater than one tonne are accepted if they are carrying green waste.
