What is GIS?
Geographical Information System (GIS) is a technology that enables information to be drawn together, analysis to be undertaken spatially, i.e. geographic or location-based, and outputs to be generated and visualised as maps and reports.

What is the GISBOOST™ service?
This service provides the opportunity to view basic spatial information such as aerial imagery, property boundaries and the location of water, sewer and stormwater services within New Plymouth District.

Additionally, by using the best of available technologies, the GISBOOST™ service is able to provide a more tailored service. Views of information and analysis can be customised for individual customers, based upon their individual needs. This, together with a professional team supporting and managing the delivery of the service, means that more value can be delivered to each customer and their customers in turn.

The GISBOOST™ service is delivered online, meaning that customers can access the service 24 hours a day, seven days a week without having to travel to the Civic Centre. All for $60 per month.

What is the cost of the GISBOOST™ service?
The charge to access the GISBOOST™ service is $60 per user per month, including GST.
